Advanced Trauma Life Support Course

This course is authorised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and The American College of Surgeons. The basic course runs over 3 days twice a year. A one day recertification course for doctors who have previously completed the basic course, is also available. The course is aimed at trainee doctors who need to manage trauma as part of their caseload. There is a high faculty to student ratio, with very experienced teachers. Teaching is highly interactive. Some place for nurses and paramedics as observers are available, but the full course is limited to registered medical practitioners only.
