FRCR 2B Revision Course
The Peninsula Radiology Academy is holding a FRCR 2b revision course on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th September 2010. This will feature rapid reporting, long case and viva sessions.
The venue is a state of the art Radiology training facility in
1. Rapid reporting
In 2010 the FRCR 2b Rapid reporting exam is going digital. Images will be viewed on PC viewing software with hand written answers. Each session will take 30 minutes and comprise of 30 films.
2. Long cases
Long cases will also be digitaln utilising Osirix, Apple Macintosh specific PACS software that will be used for the exam. This course providesa great opportunity to become familiar with Osirix under examination conditions and each delegate will have their own workstation. Answer sheets will be hand written and marked using the FRCR 4 – 8 closed marking scheme. There will be opportunities to review answers at the end of the course.
Oral examinations will take the traditional style of cut film on light boxes. Viva groups will comprise of two examiners and two candidates. Each candidate will be examined for 10-15 minutes by each examiner (total 20-25 minutes per viva) with feedback following the session. The two candidates will then swap and the process repeated. One candidate will be observing at any one time.
There will be a talk on examination style and technique. Long cases will be reviewed at the end.
5. Course Meal
A course meal is included in the price. This will take place at the nearby Future Inn Hotel for delegate convenience.
