Dr Andrew Edwards, Truro

Andrew was appointed as a Consultant in Truro in 2004. He trained on the peninsula scheme and sub specialised in Interventional Radiology completing two short visiting fellowships at ‘The Freeman hospital- Newcastle’ and ‘The Northern General Hospital, Sheffield’.

 

He performs the full range of Interventional Procedures with a particular interest in EVAR and Vascular imaging.


Dr David Buckley, Torbay

David joined Torbay Hospital as a Consultant in 1999 having completed his radiological training in Nottingham and general medical training based in Southampton. David's special interests are GI and oncological imaging together with medical education. Currently he is the clinical tutor for Torbay.

Away from work he has the joys of three young daughters and tries to seek solace with an occasional game of golf.


 

Dr Richard Thomas, Exeter

Richard learned his Radiology on the peninsula scheme in its pre-Academy days, travelling as a Registrar to Truro and Exeter. He went to Perth, Western Australia for a cross-sectional imaging Fellowship and then started a Consultant post in Exeter where he has been since 2003. His interests lie in GI, uroradiology and head & neck radiology.

Outside work he enjoys mountain biking and watersports and spending time with his ever increasing family.


 

Dr William Mukonoweshuro, Plymouth
William is a Neuroradiologist at Derriford hospital. He graduated from the University Of Zimbabwe School Of Medicine and completed general radiology training in London and Sheffield before doing an Interventional neuroradiology Fellowship in Manchester. He is very interested in education and holds a Post graduate Diploma in Medical Education.


In addition to the joys of commuter cycling, William enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his family.


 

Dr Gareth Porter, Plymouth

Gareth started as a Consultant Radiologist at Derriford hospital in 2006 following general radiology training and a breast imaging fellowship in Nottingham. Gareth’s specialist interests are in breast and general oncological imaging.


Outside of work, Gareth enjoys running and playing golf.
